My name is Tom Ames. I live in <a href="http:/www.fortworth.com">Fort Worth</a>, Texas. I have been working at <a href="http://www.lockheedmartin.com">Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company</a> since 2001. Before that, I was an Electrical and Computer Engineering student at <a href="http://www.utexas.edu">The University of Texas at Austin</a>. I decided to earn my BSEE after my 6-year stint as a CTM in the <a href="http://www.navy.mil">US Navy</a> from 1989-1995. I was enlisted then, but I was commissioned in July of 2004 and am serving in the <a href="http://www.navalreserve.com/">Navy Reserve</a>. I recently earned a MS in engineering management at <a href="http://www.smu.edu/">Southern Methodist University</a>. When I'm not working, studying, or being a sailor, I like to meet my friends in the <a href="http://www.texasexes.org/">Fort Worth Texas Exes</a> (UT Austin alumni association) for happy hours or game watching. I also enjoy travel when I have enough money and vacation saved up. My favorite musical groups are <a href="http://www.u2.com">U2</a>, <a href="http://www.davematthewsband.com/">Dave Mathews Band</a>, <a href="http://www.seal.com">Seal</a>, <a href="http://www.toolband.com">Tool</a>, <a href="http://www.robertearlkeen.com">Robert Earl Keen</a>, <a href="http://www.dwightyoakam.com">Dwight Yoakam</a>, and most everyone in between those genres.
