My room mate Andrea and I went to Marfa, TX to meet a new friend of ours, Rapheal, at her famliy's home. We spent the first night in Marfa getting to know the group of friends. Friday we had a leisurely day of touring, shopping and eating in Marfa and Alpine. We had dinner at the Gage Hotel in Alpine. I had a fabulous, succulent tenderloin. We capped off the evening by having a few drinks at "The Blues" in Alpine. Saturday we went down to the White Ranch
http://www.whiteranches.com/ to ride dune buggies, eat lunch at the outpost bunkhouse and hike to the tallest waterfall in Texas. When we returned to the house, Jim III and Karen had prepared a feast of fajitas for 20 people! To work off our energy we got out the guns and shot at targets and an unfortunate jackrabbit. All in all it was a fabulous weekend of good people, spectacular views and relaxation that I won't soon forget.
